About Us

Jennifer Whitley Smith is the owner and Director of J Whitley Smith Consulting. She combines her extensive experience with computers and data management with strong visual and research skills to provide a range of essential services for collectors. Jennifer has served apprenticeships with and worked professionally for many artists, both fine and decorative, and shares her clients’ passion for all forms of creative expression.

Jennifer holds a Master of Environmental Design degree from the Yale School of Architecture where her research was supported by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and Yale University. She earned a liberal arts degree (English) from Trinity College (Hartford, Connecticut) and attended Bennington College (Bennington, Vermont) as a theatre arts major.

Cornelius Marr is the Operations Manager for the company and is responsible for organizational and administrative strategies. With a background in fine arts administration (Victoria & Albert Museum [London, England], and Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin [Spring Green, Wisconsin]), Cornelius is also an experienced programmer responsible for database configuration and report design. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in history from Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, Illinois), and is an accomplished musician.

Alisa Coddington is an Internet-based Field Researcher for J Whitley Smith Consulting. She holds a Master of Library and Information Sciences degree from Simmons College (Boston, Massachusetts) and earned her liberal arts degree from the University of Minnesota (Minneapolis, Minnesota), where she pursued an interest in cinema and media studies.
